Getting Here
New York City is served by three major airports: John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Trains ride into Grand Central Station and Penn Station, the city’s two main rail stations. Several major bus lines also service the city.
Getting Around
New York City’s mass transit system includes subways and buses. Ferries can get travelers from uptown or downtown in Manhattan to Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, and New Jersey. Taxis and car rides are also available as is the Citi Bike share system, with around 1,700 stations around the city.

Bodega: A convenience store that comes from the word “cellar” in Spanish. Bridge and tunnel: People living outside of Manhattan. The city: Manhattan. Schmear: Cream cheese. Slice: A single slice of pizza. Upstream: When you see someone waiting for a cab and run ahead of them to steal it.

The Staten Island Ferry is a wonderful and free way to capture epic shots of the skyline from the water. Jump on one of the iconic orange ferries, which are a photo op in themselves, to see some of the best views of downtown Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.
