In-the-know travelers have been having a wicked good time in Boston as a top Spring destination. In addition to a wealth of history, it has stunning architecture, a unique culture and tasty food. Whether you’re visiting with family, connecting with friends or extending a work trip, there’s plenty to do. Here’s what we would do with a perfect Spring day!
SPRING ITINERARY
Start with History. To begin your journey and get your steps in for the day, start with a hike on the Freedom Trail. Located less than a mile from Club Quarters Boston, this 2.5-mile path will lead you to significant historic sites like the Paul Revere House, all while orienting you to the city. Be sure to check out the King’s Chapel Burying Ground where you can see the grave of Mary Chilton, the first woman to step off the Mayflower in the New World. Make sure to look carefully as the gravestone is almost hidden in the back of the cemetery turned in the opposite direction of all the others.
If you’re craving a maritime sightseeing element, consider taking a spin on Boston’s famous Duck Tour. The 80 minute tour combine 60 minutes on land and 20 minutes in the water and are a fun way to explore the city.
Energize with Something Sweet. If you’re the mood for something sweet, Mike’s Pastries is a must-try when visiting Boston. Just a four-minute walk from the Freedom Trail, this mouthwatering gem is truly reason alone to come back and visit again. We recommend the classic chocolate chip ricotta cannoli (or two).
Make a Connection at Faneuil Hall. Club Quarters Boston is just a stone’s throw from Faneuil Hall, which was built in 1742 and serves as a go-to meeting place and a destination for dining, shopping and live performances. Tap into your inner Samuel Adams, Oliver Wendall Holmes or Susan B. Anthony, who all lifted their voices here.
Take in a Rooftop View and a Great Meal. All this site-seeing will probably make you hungry. For a great rooftop dining experience, head to Contessa, which brings Italy to Boston with amazing food and views of the city. If you’re in the mood for a lavish dinner and night on the town, then Mariel is your spot. This dreamy and elegant environment serves Cuban specialties and craft cocktails. Once you finish, head to Mariel Underground for a night of dancing.
