Discover DC with CQ
Soak up history and culture. Visit any number of the Smithsonian Museums -- one of our favorites is the Renwick Gallery, just steps from our hotel. Take a tour of the US Capitol, or spend some time in the National Gallery of Art, the nation's museum. The best part? All of these attractions are free.
A swan's eye view. Experience unique views of the Jefferson Memorial and the famous Japanese cherry trees from the vantage of paddle boating in Tidal Basin. The Lincoln Memorial, The Pentagon, The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial and the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial are also set on the Tidal Basin edge. Pro-tip: Paddle boating is a great way to avoid the pedestrian crowds but for Cherry Blossom season, you'll want to reserve a paddle boat months in advance.
Get Jazzy. Located in the heart of historic Georgetown in an 18th century red brick carriage house sits Blues Alley, the nation's oldest continuing jazz supper club. Enjoy the unique ambiance, reminiscent of the jazz clubs of the roaring 20s, in a cool spot where the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughn, Charlie Byrd and countless others have performed.
Head for the River At Wharf DC you'll find shops, restaurants, and bars all with Potomac River views. Some of our favorites are Hank's Oyster Bar, Officina by Nicholas Stefanelli, and District Doughnut.
Lobster rolls - anytime. Not just for summer, head to Luke's Lobster Farragut, just steps from our door, for fresh and ethically sourced lobster rolls and other seafood dishes. Order Luke's Trio, the perfect way to sample the different rolls on the menu.
Dine with DC's political elite. Enjoy seriously good sushi and people watching at Kaz Sushi & Bistro. Kaz serves modern takes on Japanese sushi rolls matched with plates of steaming hot steaks and vegetables.
Live music and signature cocktails Go for the long drink menu, stay for the live music. The Hamilton is one of our favorite places for wine by the glass, sake, signature cocktails and live nightly music.
Mix it up. Voted DC's best happy hour, 1831 Bar and Lounge is a steampunk-inspired spot serving up expertly mixed cocktails, small plates and late night bites, and music. The industrial space features rustic light fixtures, sleek black tables and private couches.
CityCenterDC is the hub of all things happening in DC, with high-end shopping destinations like Burberry, Kate Spade, Louis Vuitton and DIOR, plus a yoga studio, dining options and seasonal events.
Located minutes from downtown Washington DC, The Shops at Georgetown Park is a collection of premier retailers and restaurants situated between Georgetown's two "Main Streets" and the historic C & O Canal.
