This year’s 4th of July fireworks display in New York City will be a sensorial spectacular that features patriotic music performed by The United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus as well as the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, with the fireworks orchestration by Ray Chew of American Idol and Dancing With the Stars. Expect innovative fireworks, including whistling jellyfish, little snakes, blinking smiling faces, swimming chrysanthemums and other awe-inspiring shapes exploding against the night sky. Macy’s recommends elevated viewing sites along both banks of the East River, where the fireworks will launch from five barges moored in the Midtown Manhattan area.
