You’re never far from the water at Club Quarters Chicago, Wacker at Michigan. Let the famous Riverwalk be your personal playground as the weather warms up this spring.
The Chicago Riverwalk was transformed into a destination in 2015, and since then it’s become a gathering place for locals and visitors alike. All along this 1.25-mile-long pedestrian zone you can find waterfront dining, cafés, cocktail bars and a Riverwalk winery that offer relaxed, inviting spaces to sit back and enjoy the views.
The Riverwalk is also a great spot to fit in your workout. Between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., you can run, jog, walk and bike alongside the locals between Lake Shore Drive and Lake Street.
Art on theMART returns to the riverfront this spring. This is one of the world’s largest permanent digital art displays, featuring a 25-story video installation in partnership with the Adler Planetarium. Set to a dreamy soundtrack, this otherworldly display will run between April 1 and July 4.
In fact, cultural treasures are all around the river. Look for eye-catching murals and head out on a river cruise for a narrated tour of Chicago’s iconic architectural wonders.
Keep your eyes open for a small fountain and an inscribed stone wall near the State Street entrance. This is the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Plaza, one of the largest of its kind outside of Washington, D.C., paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.
As the seasons transform and summer days draw near, stay tuned for even more only-in-Chicago activities that make your Club Quarters stay a truly memorable time with your loved ones.
